I can't believe how long it's been- wow... I love blogging but I completely abandoned this- so sorry bloggy :( Anyways while I haven't been blogging, I've been tumbling... if that makes any sense! I made a tumblr (www.ginapardi.tumblr.com) and i've kind of been on and off with that... (if you can't tell!)

Glee is back!!!!!! YAYY!!! Oh my gosh- you do NOT even know how excited I am!! I can't wait for the rest of Season 1!!!!!

Anyways, the Spring Premiere was last night and I LOVED it!!!! It was little weird at first because I didn't really get that Rachel and Finn were (finally) dating.. (YES!) But I didn't really like them as a couple-I thought Rachel was too.... "Rachel." I know everyone wanted them to be one but I didn't like it that much... and then I was SO sad when Finn broke up with Rachel! And she cried! :'(

Sue just keeps getting funnier and funnier... I <3 her!!! But let me just say one thing- I HATE Jesse... seriously! Poor Rachel, she thinks he actually likes her when he's only dating her to spy on his competition.

So now I want Rachel and Finn to be a couple, especially after what Finn said to Rachel. Please, Rachel, take Finn instead of that Lionel Richie singing meanie! He's playing you :(

I love how Finn is so cute at the end when Rachel refuses to date him and then he says, "Ok, but just know that I don't give up easily. :)" So cute!

And last but not least, as a Broadway finatic I was so happy to see Idina Menzel on the show! Even though she didn't sing and her character wasn't completely likeable, I'm still very glad she's on the show. (And I still love Jonathan, just not his character.)

So excited for next week's "Power of Madonna" episode!

Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush® Body Glimmer Swirl Cream- Review!

First, let me just say that I LOOOOVE this cream- so much! Every time I put it on, my mom says "What did you put on??" I got this for my birthday last year (2009) and it's still in my bathroom... it lasts for a while! It's the from the Victoria's Secret line Beauty Rush and it's called "Body Glimmer Swirl Cream." I have it in Juiced Berry and from what I've heard, they all smell "fruity and fresh!" (AKA they smell GOOD!) You can purchase them here.

A (Much Promised) Review!

Here is the long awaited review for my shaving gel!!!

I use "Skintimate Shaving Gel" (like most people) I'm more of a shaving cream fan but I liked the smell of this... so I bought it! :) This shaving gel is called "Strawberry Tangerine Twist" (the bottle looks a little different than the one below) and it smells AMAZING! But the smell doesn't stay on your legs- it's just for a little bit. After I shave I usually put on this REALLY good lotion... oh boy... here comes another review... Anyways, you can get this just about ANYWHERE- Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, CVS.... etc.

THE 2010 OSCARS REPORT

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards were last night and I just thought that I would do a post.

Below are some of the best dressed at this year's Oscars (from PEOPLE Magazine)

First of all, I love this dress so much! And Amanda Seyfried makes it look great! The only thing I would question is the big, chunky bracelets on her right arm. I mean, they're cute but I don't think they're very suitable for this gown.

I only have one word for this dress worn by Cameron Diaz. AH-MAZING. (Okay, so maybe that's two but still- LOOOOVE the dress!!!!!!)

Miley Cyrus's dress is very pretty- the top is okay but the bottom is really pretty, with it's sparkles and "flawlessness"

Penelope Cruz's dress from Donna Karan is stunning! That color looks great on her and the dress is great!

Diane Kuger's dress is great- I love the black "frills" on the dress, these two colors look great together- black and like a light, light tan. (The name of that color isn't coming up in my brain)

I love what Jennifer Lopez said about her dress, it had to "fit her right." (or something like that...) But I love this dress and it's really pretty.

Nicole Richie may not have dressed up as much for the Oscars, but I like her "boho chic" look and this dress really suits it well.

Vera Farmiga's Magenta gown may not have been one of the best gowns, but the magenta looks great with her gold hair and blue eyes.

Anna Kendrick!!!! I <3 her- I really like this dress, the pale pink is cute for her pale skin and the clutch and bracelet are a nice touch and look good with the dress.

I'm not a big fan of Maggie Gyllenhaal but her dress wasn't that bad- I like the blue color on her, it matches her skin tone well. Her dress is very pretty!

This is Zoë Saldana wearing Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci ruffled purple gown. I like this gown, but the bottom is just kinda weird-I wish it was just a light purple gown instead of the crazy bottom ruffles...

It's 10:00 and there's 2 hours until the New Year. 2009 has been an okay year for some people, so what are your hopes and dreams for 2010? What are your goals? What do you hope to accomplish? Today, I realized the word bed actually looks like a bed. MLIA

A fortnight ago I finally solved my rubiks cube. I waited two weeks to post this so that I could use the word fortnight.

Today, I had to choose between a strawberry flavored Dum Dum and a mystery flavored Dum Dum. I decided to be adventurous and choose the mystery flavor; it was strawberry flavored. MLIA

Last night, I was really hot in bed, so I took one leg out of the covers. Then I got scared because it was too dark and my leg felt unprotected from somthing hiding under my bed. So I put it back under the blankets. MLIA

Today, I went to the store and bought some Land o Lakes cheese. On the label, it said 'LOL Cheese'. I laughed. MLIA

I grew up in a college town, and one Halloween our doorbell rang and we opened the door expecting to see trickortreaterbut what was in front of our open doorwas another door! Like, a full-on wooden door, that had a sign that said Please knock. So we did, and the door swung open to reveal a bunch of college dudes dressed as really old grandmothers, curlers in their hair, etc, who proceeded to coo over our costumes and tell us we were such cute trick or treaters! One even pinched my cheek. Then THEY gave US candy, closed their door, picked it up and walked to the next house. MLIA

Today, I saw a commercial for the Snuggie. I thought it was stupid idea but I couldn't change the channel because I was under a blanket and I didn't want my arms to get cold. MLIA

Today I won a million dollars, but I closed out of the pop-up anyway. MLIA

Fireworks might be ONE of my favorite parts about New Years Eve, but my ABSOLUTE, FAVORITE part about New Years Eve is watching the big celebration in Times Square! My favorite one to watch is Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on ABC! But that's not the only one, you can also watch New Year's Eve with Carson Daly on NBC or you can just watch the Time Square celebration! I have put the widget down at the bottom of the page so you can watch it if you choose to!

If you logged onto Google the other day, you would've seen that they discovered water on the moon. But what you DON'T know is WHO did it..... :)

It was a normal day on the moon when suddenly, I spotted something blue and liquidy...

So I immediately called NASA and they flew over and said that I, Gina Pardi, had discovered water on the moon!

Today is a day to celebrate all of the brave people who spare their lives to protect their country. We are very grateful for all of those kid and generous souls and today, we say 'thank-you.'

On Veteran’s Day we honor
Soldiers who protect our nation.
For their service as our warriors,
They deserve our admiration.

Some of them were drafted;
Some were volunteers;
For some it was just yesterday;
For some it’s been many years;

In the jungle or the desert,

They did whatever was assigned
To produce a victory.

Some came back; some didn’t.
They defended us everywhere.
Some saw combat; some rode a desk;
All of them did their share.

No matter what the duty,

Hello!!!!!!
This weekend and last week I took a little "blogcation" but I'm back!! I was a little busy with homework and stuff. So here my a post for today!!

Dr. Gina at the Grocery Store:

It's time to take a stroll through your local grocery store!

These are bananas- bananas are very yummy and healthy for your body and they're great for a snack or for making a yummy yogurt mix!

These are cakes and pies- they are very delicious but not very healthy! Stay away until Thanksgiving!!!

These are different meats- they're good sources of protein and vitamins. Just make sure they're fully cooked!!!

These are cheeses, yogurts, and other dairy products. They're good sources of calcium which is great for your bones!!

Milk is also great!!!

Well, this has been a very successful trip to the grocery store with Doctor Gina!

So yesterday, I went to Whole Foods with my mom and I had heard a lot about this gum called Glee Gum. I had heard so much about it because I love the new show Glee on FOX.

But when I got into the car and had a piece of the Glee gum, I found out 5 things I should've known before we bought it:

For 99¢, you get a box that's as big as a business card and comes with 18 pieces.

This is how big ONE piece is.

It tastes really good at first, full of tangerine flavor!!!

Then it tastes like spit and gets stuck in your teeth.

Sorry that there was no post this morning or yesterday, today I slept in as late as I could :) and I was sick yesterday! But I am much better now! Yay!!!! But that is not the exciting news, the exciting news is that on Thursday, I am getting my pointe shoes!!! I am so happy and excited!!!! :D I will DEFINITELY post pictures once I have them so check back Thursday!!!!

We got this postcard in the mail from our Irrigation system saying they were coming soon to shut off our sprinklers and it really offends me:

To me, this says: Here's what your lawn COULD look like if you didn't use us as your Irrigation system and went for some fancy and expensive system, but your lawn looks like dogs pooped in it and you don't even have a dog.

Last night I made the most AMAZING pumpkin cheesecake. So I wanted to share the recipe! I hope you guys like it!!! Bon Apatite!

Cheesecake Factory Pumpkin Cheesecake

Crust:

1 1/2 cups graham crumbs

5 Tbsp. butter, melted

1 Tbsp. sugar

Filling:

3- 8oz.pkgs. cream cheese, softened

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup canned pumpkin

3 eggs

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1/4 tsp. allspice

Whipped Cream

Mix crust ingredients together, just till coated and crumbly. Press onto the bottom and 2/3 up the sides of an 8" springform pan. Bake for 5 min. at 350. Set aside.

Combine cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl, mix until smooth with an electric mixer. add pumpkin eggs, and spices, beat till smooth and creamy. Pour into the crust. Bake for 60-70 min. or till the top turns a bit darker. Remove from oven and allow to come to room temperature, then refrigerate. After it has thoroughly chilled, remove the pan sides and cut. Serve with whipped cream.

Sorry. My computer is having technical difficulties so it won't let me do a broadcast tonight. I'm really not sure if this is going to work... I don't think every day at 6:45 is going to work. Maybe just 4 days a week at like 5.... I will work something out but for now there is no show. I will put the widget back on once I have a plan... again really sorry. My computer won't let me do a single broadcast and it's annoying me!!!!! I just realized.... I never posted about my trip to N.Y.C!!! So I'm going to write about it now!

The trip was from Saturday (last Saturday) to last Monday and it was so fun!! I went with my friends, Mallory, Fallon, and Logan, and our moms. We stayed in New Jersey on Saturday night and in the morning we went to the Carlo's Bakery for breakfast.... sound familiar? This is the bakery from the TV show "Cake Boss" It was delicious!!!! YUM! :) Then we drove into the city and we got tickets for a show... guess what show? Ok, I'll give you a hint... if you look at my previous posts you'll see that there's one show I had a big obsession with... so which show was it?

It was...

WEST SIDE STORY!!!! I went to see West Side Story on Broadway!!! Ah, I was in love :)

For the rest of the day we went shopping and the next day we did more shopping and then we drove home. But remember, the drive from New York to Maine is about 7 hours! :'( But it was worth it because I had an amazing time!

Yep you saw the title, today I'm going to attempt to give ideas on how to "Beat the Summer Heat" because I too am trying to "beat the summer heat"...haha I love typing that :)

So here we go:

10 Ways to BEAT THE SUMMER HEAT!

By Gina Pardi

1. Do you have a pet? If so, try playing with it on hot days- a fun thing you could try getting a toy your pet likes and running around in the sprinklers with your pet! You never know, it could turn out to be fun!

2. If you have sprinklers or a hose, don't let it go to waste! Put on a bathing suit, maybe even invite your friends over and just run through the sprinklers or play with the hose! Maybe even pretend you're secret agents on a mission and you have to run without getting hit by the water... it's up to you!

3. Don't let your pool go to waste either! Your family paid good money for it, so use

it!!!!! Pools are GREAT for hot days... take a dip!

4. What's fun and SUPER easy to make? 3 words. SLIP AND SLIDE! Just grab a long tarp, soap (dish soap or bar soap is good) and a couple buckets of water!!! Dump the water on the tarp, then rub the soap all over the tarp and ta-da! A perfect slip and slide! You can also do the same thing on trampolines- very fun if you try to jump... Just be careful!!!!

5. TRAMPOLINES! So much fun!!!! Just jumping on a trampoline is great and invite your friends over- it's always more fun with company! (Just be safe....)

6. Outdoor Sports- it's the PERFECT time to practice for sports tryouts coming up in the Fall, whether it's soccer, track, basketball, dance, ANYTHING! Or you can just play something for fun, maybe get your friends together or have a neighborhood game!

7. If you have a fan or an AC, ask an adult to put it in your room temporarily. Then you can just hang out in your room for a bit- you could read, finish any summer

homework you put on hold... anything because now you have a COOL room!!!!!

8. What's great yet a lot of people hate?? (I seriously have to stop rhyming...)

WALKING!!! Walk your dog! Walk to the park! Walk down the street! Walk around

the neighborhood! Walk to your friend's house! Walk anywhere! Make it fun! Or

instead of walking, ride your bike!!!!

9. Keep track of the last few weeks of summer! Try starting a journal and make a

goal to write in it every day until school starts! Who knows?? Maybe you can show your

friends...

10. SCHOOL SHOPPING!!! Back to school shopping is always fun! Whether it's pencils

or clothes, it's always important to show your fellow class mates your inner self!

Well West Side Story's performance weekend was this past weekend and it was GREAT! Now I'm practicing for Into the Woods Jr.

GOOD NEWS! I'm not sure WHEN yet, but I will be returning to Coast 93.1 sometime!!!! I think maybe when Eva is on vacation but I'm excited!!!!!!!
